perfect participles are commonly used to express states. However, they can be used in an idiomatic manner to express experience. In English, we can say that someone is “well read”, which means that they are erudite or educated. We can also say “well versed”, etc. With certain verbs, we can say similar things in Hindi:
वह बहुत पढ़ा-लिखा है – “He is very educated”, literally “He is very read and written”
