One fairly common idiom in Hindi is to use की without any “head noun” (i.e. the noun that comes after it). When no “head noun” is specified, some abstract feminine noun is implied, typically बात or बार.
अगर आप अधिकारीयों की मानें तो यह परियोजना अगले साल के अंत तक समाप्त होगी – “If you believe the officials, this project will be completed by the end of next year”
In the previous example, की appeared without a noun; the implied noun is बात.
Some people might use अब की to imply अब की बार, although this is less common.
